The Khiladi actor comes back on the charity front by donating Rs. 45 lakh to the accounts of needy actors.
Bollywood has once again taken the lead in helping the nation from COVID-19 crisis. The actors are doing their part in different ways of contributing and helping the needy. After Salman Khan, who helped the industry workers and daily wagers, now it is Akshay Kumar who took the next lead in helping the needy actors by directly donating an amount of Rs. 45 lakh into their accounts.
In an interview with the Filmibeat, an actor named Pranay Kumar revealed that he received Rs. 3000 in his account from Akshay Kumar. As per the report, he stated, ” Some actors who are daily wagers have yet to get any help from the government. Our industry is only helping us.” Akshay donated the amount of Rs 45 lakh after asking the list of such artists from CINTAA.
Akshay had in the past donated a whopping amount of Rs. 25 crores to the relief funds such as Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM CARES). Not only this, he even supported the healthcare workers by donating Rs 3 crore to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, to help in making the PPE and rapid testing kits.
