The 90s Bollywood sweetheart, Preity Zinta is all geared up for her new show. This dimple beauty will appear in an American prime time show, ‘Fresh Off The Boat’ along with the actor and standup comedian Vir Das. The show will be aired on January 24. The episode featuring the two Indian stars may act as a spin-off for a series that originally had a Taiwanese-American family in Florida in the 1990s. The spin-off series is tentatively titled Magic Motor Inn, revolving around an Indian family in the US. As per the reports of Deadline, the episode will be shot next month.  Preity Zinta will be seen playing the role of a mother and her character has been named Meena, whereas Vir will be essaying the role of her husband.  According to Filmfare, Vir Das spoke about the impact of this upcoming series on its American audience. He said, “Fresh Off The Boat is incredibly funny and the best part of it was working with Preity. In so many ways, it’s been a packed January for me. I have nosedived into work and it’s look incredibly good so far. This show will further the cause of changing perception of Indians and their stories in America. There is a genuine interest in our heritage and culture, now more than ever before and this show will offer just that – a unique story full of heart.” He added, “Preity is a crackling actress… the experience she brought to the table was valuable. With a material like this, our primary job was to be funny and she got that right.”
