On the lack of mythological knowledge, Mukesh Khanna targets the younger generation through Sonakshi. Gives a hard reply to Nitish.

The super TV hero of 90s, Mukesh Khanna took a dig at the younger generation for lacking knowledge about mythology. He also gave a befitting reply to the then Mahabharat co actor Nitish Bharadwaj, who was the famous face as Krishna back then, as he countered the statement of the Shaktimaan actor that why is only Sonakshi Sinha being targeted. His response to the Mahabharat star was that through Sonakshi, he was targeting the younger audience and not solely the Dabangg actress. As per the reports of TOI, Mukesh said, “I am not targeting Sonakshi Sinha at all. I don’t even know her. I know Shatrughan Sinha well and I have great respect for him as a person as well as an actor. I must clear this point once and for all. Through her I was targeting a generation of youngsters who are not bothered to know anything about our culture, history, and epics like the Mahabharat  and Ramayan. It’s not a small thing. The country’s future rests on their shoulders. Someone had to speak. I did.”
Nitish had earlier commented, “seniors seem worthy of respect if they walk the path of empathy”, adding that the same thing could have been said in a balanced and soft manner.
