The trailer of Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh is finally out and we must say, Shahid as a jilted lover packs a solid punch.

Kabir Singh is a remake of the Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy, which starred Vijay Devarakonda.

The trailer shows the steady deterioration of Kabir(Shahid) after scare given by his girlfriend Preeti(Kiara advani). He is destructive, stubborn and has extreme anger issue. Throughout the trailer one would get a glimpse of Shahid’s previous characters like Tommy Singh from Udta Punjab or Guddu from Kaminey.

In a recent interview Shahid said, “My normal weight is around 71-72 kg, I had to go up to 76-77 kg, a lot of it fat, and look destroyed. There are scenes when I’m alone in the house, drinking, in shorts or pajamas, bare-chested. It’s not a pleasant sight but the character demanded that I not be a star but step into actor mode. And since I’m an actor first, I was excited.”

Kabir Singh, directed by Sandeep Vanga, will hit the screens on June 21.
